Eyebrows

Medical Technology Today allows you to Design the Growth of your Eyebrow

With today's advanced medical technology, each hair of your eyebrow can be implanted to give you the desired shape and density. This means a totally natural look without tattoos or daily eyebrow penciling. And most of all, it is a 3-dimensional permanent solution not achievable by any other means. With Dr Chan's experience and expertise we can help you achieve the perfect facial harmony.

Hair Transplantation is a form of surgery to relocate hair follicles around the body. At AHTI, the latest FUE technique allows for the best match hair to be selected and extracted from the scalp or the body, follicle by follicle. These hair follicles are then implanted with specialized implanters giving Dr Chan precise control for perfect angulations and directions of each hair resulting in the most natural looking eyebrow.

Eyebrows can be lost in a variety of ways. Including:

• Physical trauma such as car accident, thermal, chemical or electrical burns
• Systemic or local disease causing loss of eyebrows
• Congenital inability to grow eyebrows
• Over- plucking (to reshape the eyebrow) that results in permanent loss of eyebrows.

Before hair transplant restoration can occur, an evaluation and examination of prior medical history is needed. Some points that will be examined are:

• Systemic or local disease that cause hair loss must be under control to ensure success
• Trauma, burns or surgical scar tissues: reconstructive surgery may be necessary before brow restoration can be done.

Historically, reconstructive surgery has been used for many years to restore missing eyebrows or to repair partially missing eyebrows. Technical considerations and the needs of the patient determine which procedure is used. These include full-skin transplants, scalp to eyebrow pedicle flaps, and hair transplantation.

Hair transplantation is the most common solution to eyebrow restoration today. Traditionally the strip method was popular; a strip of hair-bearing scalp skin is removed; hair follicles are then separated under microscope and grafted into the eyebrow site. This traditional method may not result in best match hairs for eyebrow restoration.

However at AHTI, the latest Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) method can select and extract the best match hair from the scalp or the body, follicle by follicle. These hair follicles are then implanted with specialized implanters ensuring precise control of the angle and direction of each hair resulting in the most natural appearance of the eyebrow. As the transplanted hair follicles grow in their new position the hair may require occasional trimming as well as “training” with eyebrow gel or wax. Once the hair follicles settle in the new site and the skin fully recovers, the hair will grow permanently in the perfect angle and direction.

With FUE, the new Minimally Invasive Hair Transplant surgery, it is now possible to have a permanent solution for a totally natural eyebrow.

Eyebrow Design

At AHTI we pride ourselves in the artistry of eyebrow design. Our team is passionate and experienced in eyebrow designs.

The eyebrows are one of the most important features on the face. In the right shape, they can create a perfect frame for the face.

Eyebrows are functional. They can prevent moisture such as rain and sweat from flowing into the eye. They shade the eyes from sunlight; prevent dandruff and other small objects from falling into the eyes, as well as acting as sensors for detecting objects being near the eye, such as small insects.

They have an important facilitative function in communication, especially in strengthening expressions, such as surprise or anger. Many makeup artists view eyebrows as a major feature in defining the face. In the wrong shape, they can sometimes cause what is known as a ‘false facial expression’, for example, looking angry or scared without meaning to.

The most aesthetically appealing appearance of the brow is dependent on the face shape. Let our experienced team decide with you the best eyebrow shape for perfect facial harmony.

Perfect Eyebrows

Oval Face Shape
The perfect brow shape is generally considered to be the soft angled shape. This is in fact the most popular stencil shape, and works beautifully with an oval face shape.
Heart Face Shape
A low arched-round brow creates a natural look. A high arch round brow adds (possibly needed) length to a shorter heart face shape.
Long Face Shape
A flat brow shape accomplishes this. It’s horizontal shape makes the face appear shorter.
Round Face Shape
A high arched brow accomplishes this. Look for a brow shape that follows a straight line to the peak of the brow, and creates more vertical lines. Stay away from a rounded brow shape. This makes a round face shape look very round.
Square Face Shape
Angled brows create this balance. Also consider the curved brow shape, suggested for diamond face shapes. The curves soften stronger features.
Diamond Face Shape
The curved brow shape does this. Notice that many beautiful celebrities that have a diamond face shape also have curved brows.

• Measure the length of your face with a ruler. (In this case the total length of face is 8inches)
• Divide the total length by 3. (8 ÷ 3 = 22/3 or 2.67)
• Measure the length from the bottom of your nose to the bottom of your chin. (In this case 21/3)
• If the length of nose-chin (21/3) is longer than the length of overall 1/3 length (22/3), chances are you have a long face.
• If the length of nose-chin is less than the length of overall 1/3 length, chances are you have a round face.
• If the length of nose-chin is equal to the overall 1/3 length, chances are you have an oval face.

Knowing your face shape is the first step to creating your most beautiful look!!!
